top picks from the sight unseen 2024 yearbook

THE TARIFF EDITION
aka US Designed and Made

Ever since attending Sight Unseen’s 2014 OFFSITE launch here in NYC, I knew that co-founders Monica Khemsurov and Jill Singer had their finger on the pulse of design. As a contemporary designer with a penchant for Scandinavian, European and Japanese design, it was a dream to see contemporary American designers starting to add to the design conversation that had been developing abroad. With the launch of their yearbook in 2021, my love for paper & printed materials coalesced into a yearly excitement for the magazine to arrive in my mailbox.

This year, I am sharing the tariff edition of my fave picks from the 2024 Sight Unseen Yearbook (now sold out). In this round up, I am selecting US-made pieces that also celebrates the US-based Designers behind them.

While there are so many stunning pieces from around the globe in the 2024 Sight Unseen Yearbook, I must admit I truly love celebrating these American designers and the American craftsmanship that have gone in to this stellar list. You can bet that all of these pieces will become collectibles and are a very worthwhile investment - it’s functional art at its best. Enjoy!
