Based out of Brooklyn, NY, CHD was founded in 2008 as a multi-disciplinary deign firm. Claire Hung, started CHD while working in the Architecture & Interiors industry in New York City.
Claire was born & raised in California. Her childhood was filled with the adventures of living in a variety of environments & architecture. From her early years on a horse ranch / spiritual commune, to living in homes throughout LA during her teens, Claire fell in love with the variety of interiors, and the impact they can have on the vibe of a home. It was no mistake that this inspired her studies in Architecture at UC Berkeley.
Claire holds a BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley, with a focus in Scandinavian & Nordic Design, and Contemporary Japanese Architecture, plus earning a minor in Landscape Design. Her education includes studying Architecture at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and interning for the Royal Parks of England where she designed a sustainable restaurant concept for Richmond Park.
Claire has been working in the Architecture & Interiors industry since she graduated in 2003. She has experience with New Builds, Gut Renovations, Combining Two Apartments, Brownstone Renovations, and navigating the NYC real estate renovation process from start to finish.
